CITT is a multimedia and instructional design studio specializing in web sites, web applications, and online training for universities, corporations, research centers, state governments, and other nonprofit agencies. As a self-funded division of the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) and an auxiliary unit of Academic Technology & Extended Learning, CITT combines the best of corporate and academic resources.?

The Web Developer is?responsible for developing new and supporting existing websites, web applications, online training materials, intranets, and any other web-based assignments.?

The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position include:?

  • Strong knowledge of: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including hand written/?vanilla? JavaScript and jQuery).
  • Comfortable with web content management systems (SharePoint, Drupal, etc.).
  • Proficient with web development tools (Dreamweaver, SharePoint Designer, etc.) and graphics editing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of browser compatibility issues as they pertain to CSS and JavaScript.
  • Able to write lean and clean code with useful comments and supportive documentation.
  • Familiar with user-centered design, user interface design, and an instinct for usability.
  • Thorough understanding of W3C web standards.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment where collaboration, communication, and clarity is paramount.
  • Comfortable with making decisions independently and receptive to guidance and feedback.
  • Strong English written/verbal communication.?

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited College or University with a Bachelor's ???? degree in a computer, information, or visual design field or equivalent ???? combination of education and experience.? ????
  • One year experience with building web-based products in a higher ???? education, corporate, or e-Commerce environment using HTML, CSS, and?JavaScript.?

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years? experience with building web-based products in a higher education, corporate, or e-Commerce environment using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiar with a server-side programming language (.NET, PHP, RoR, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with developing websites on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.?

The salary for this position has been established at $48,000 to $60,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.? The University of Colorado offers a full benefits package.? http://www.cu.edu/pbs/?
