Do You Need A License To Be A Buyer's Agent? | REALTOR.com ...

questions

Q: I want to be an investor. I don?t have much money and not very good credit. Is it possible?
?Anonymous, Boise, ID

A: A Buyer?s Agent is a Realtor who chooses only to represent buyers. As such you must be licensed according to your state?s requirements. It?s a costly license and the ongoing annual dues and fees can be considerable. If you don?t have much money, how do you propose to become licensed and without good credit or money, how do you plan on becoming an investor? It might be best to put your goals to paper, consult some local Realtors for specific information regarding licensing, choose an ample period of time during which you will improve your credit and accumulate some funds. During this time, read about the industry, visit on-line seminars, and learn as much as possible about the industry you choose to enter.
